overwhelming 4.6 million hits! So to
make things a little simpler for you (and I’m all about simple), I’ve rounded
up some websites and blog posts that can help you.

Martha Stewart – Of course, Martha has a disaster supply checklist too!
Amanda Kuzak of Kuzak’s Closet post on the I’m An Organizing
Junkie blog gives wonderful suggestions on emergency kits for the car, the pets
and the home/family.
If you are still overwhelmed you can purchase premade kits and supplies from the Red Cross. . Also searching for emergency on Amazon produces a long list of items.
The moral of this post is please, be prepared. You don’t have to do it all at once but you do need to be prepared for a variety of emergencies and disasters that could strike your community, your home and your family. Do you have your kit ready?

Are Your Ready? This list is similar to the others but it
reminds us to be sure our students away to college and boarding school are
prepared as well.

The Moes Family blog reminds us to update our kits
on a regular basis. They suggest every six months. You can tie it to your
birthday (and ½ birthday), the changing of the clocks or some other annual or
semi-annual event.
